What happens if it rains after waterproofing
Rain and rainfall could lead to damage to the waterproofing layer. It may stop the roof tiles from sticking, form air bubbles, create blisters or wash off the roof’s waterproof layer. Careful use of tools and protection is very important throughout the curing process.
Adhesion Problems:
Poor bonding of waterproofing coatings to the surface can happen when it rains which may lead to the materials peeling, cracking or separating.
Roof Shield:
Rain for a long period can erode the coating that shields the roof, making it less able to function properly.

Water Accumulation:
If rain is caught between the substrate and the protective layer, it can produce bubbles or blisters that lower the drainage system’s effectiveness.
Washing Away:
Rainfall may prevent both water-based and cementitious membranes from drying correctly which could cause them to be washed away.
Curing Issues:
Working with waterproofing materials in the rain can reduce their strength and useful life.
Holes and empty spaces are a major feature of these works.
Water may evaporate or the substrate may cause waterborne liquid membranes to form gaps and holes.
How to Prevent Waterproofing From Being Damaged?
Rain should be avoided after you apply waterproofing, especially for the first days of curing. You might have to pause before planting if rain is approaching or cover your plants with protection.
